Freedom is not merely a gift that we celebrate on national occasions. It is a sacred responsibility passed on to us by the countless freedom fighters who dreamed of an independent India and sacrificed everything to make that dream a reality.

The freedom we enjoy today was not achieved easily. It carries the pain, struggle and courage of those who stood against injustice without losing hope. Many left behind their families, comforts and even their lives so that future generations could breathe freely under the open sky of an independent nation. Their sacrifices remind us that our freedom is precious and must never be taken for granted.

Our soldiers continue to protect this freedom every single day. They stand fearlessly at the borders, facing extreme weather, difficult conditions and dangers that most of us can hardly imagine. Their courage lies not only in fighting the enemy, but also in refusing to break down even in the toughest moments. Many brave soldiers have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our motherland. Because they remain awake at the borders, millions of Indians can sleep peacefully in their homes.

We may never be able to repay their sacrifices, but we can always honour them through our actions.

True patriotism is not limited to raising the Tricolour, sharing patriotic messages or celebrating Independence Day and Republic Day. It is reflected in the way we live every day. It means respecting our National Anthem, honouring our flag and treating every fellow Indian with dignity. It means performing our duties honestly, protecting public property, following the law and contributing to the progress of our country.

When the National Anthem is played, standing in respect is more than a formality. It is a moment of gratitude—a moment to remember every person who struggled, suffered and sacrificed for our nation. It reminds us that despite our different languages, religions, traditions and cultures, we are united by one identity: we are Indians.

Being born on the sacred soil of Bharat is not only a matter of pride; it is also a blessing. This land has given us our identity, values, culture and sense of belonging. Therefore, it is our responsibility to protect its unity, preserve its dignity and work towards making it stronger.

The best tribute we can offer our freedom fighters and soldiers is to become responsible citizens. Let us create an India where there is equality instead of discrimination, unity instead of division, compassion instead of hatred and progress that leaves no one behind.

Our freedom fighters gave us an independent nation. Our soldiers continue to protect it. Now it is our responsibility to carry their courage, values and dreams forward.

Let us always remain grateful for our freedom, respectful towards our nation and worthy of the sacrifices made for us.

This is not just freedom, this is our responsibility, our pride and our promise to Bharat.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! 🇮🇳
